Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026
1. Who we are
PageSnap ("we," "us," or "our") provides an online service that captures screenshots of web pages from a URL, available through our website at https://pagesnap.dev and through our programmatic API. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information. We use Google to sign you in. When you authenticate, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture, and a Google account identifier with us. We never receive or store your Google password. Content you capture. When you request a screenshot, we process the URL you submit and generate an image. We store your capture history, including the captured URL, the resulting screenshot, capture settings (such as format and viewport), file size, processing time, and timestamps, so you can find and re-download your work. Credentials for protected captures. If you capture a page that sits behind a login, you may provide session cookies or similar credentials for that target site. We use them only to perform that single capture and do not retain them after the capture completes. API keys and webhooks. If you use the API, we store a one-way cryptographic hash of each API key (never the raw key), along with a label and last-used timestamp. If you configure an outbound webhook, we store the destination URL and a signing secret used to authenticate our requests to you. Billing information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We retain a Stripe customer identifier and your subscription and plan status. Usage and technical data. We collect usage counters (such as captures per month), and standard technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, and interactions with the site, including through cookies and analytics tools.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to: • deliver the service, including processing captures and returning images; • create and manage your account and authenticate you; • operate the API and deliver outbound webhook events you configure; • process payments, manage subscriptions, and send billing notices; • provide customer support and respond to your requests; • maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our rate limits and usage policies; • analyze and improve the service; and • comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the service and billing); our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the service and prevent abuse); your consent (for non-essential cookies and analytics, where required); and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run PageSnap, and only as needed: • Google — authentication (sign-in); • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management; • MongoDB Atlas — database hosting for your account and capture data; • Vercel — application hosting and content delivery; • Resend — transactional and account email; • our analytics and cookie-consent providers — usage measurement and consent management. When you configure an outbound webhook, capture results are sent to the destination URL you specify; you are responsible for that endpoint. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and capture history for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual screenshots at any time from your gallery, and you can delete your entire account and all associated data from your account Settings. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, capture history, API keys, and webhook configuration, and cancel any active subscription. We may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), one-way hashing of API keys, access controls, and safeguards on our capture engine that block requests to private and internal network addresses. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can access and delete most of your data directly in your account Settings. For other requests, contact us at neca.danii@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings → Delete account. This action is irreversible and removes your account, screenshots, API keys, and webhook settings, and cancels any active subscription.
10. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the service is used. Where required, we ask for your consent through a cookie banner. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
11. International data transfers
We operate online and may process and store your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the service, you understand your information may be transferred to these locations.
12. Children's privacy
PageSnap is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at neca.danii@gmail.com and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
14. Contact us
If you have questions or requests about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at neca.danii@gmail.com.
